Whether you are an experienced practitioner or a new volunteer, you do not need to work out how to keep children safe on your own. There are policies and procedures to help you know what to do. These can also help you to review or update your own organisation’s policies and procedures.
You will find Devon’s local policies, procedures, and guidance on safeguarding children on the Devon SCP website. Please note that some of these are currently being updated.
Where we do not have a local policy or procedure, this is because we use the regional South West Child Protection Procedures, which are set out here on tri.x in the ‘Contents’ section below. Please see 'Using this Manual' for details about the way this manual works.
